From our company headquarters in Grafrath near Munich, we use laser welding to carry out individual contract work for you. As a rule, we do our best to have all repairs completed within 24 hours, provided all materials are in stock. You can come to us with your component or injection molding tool and wait for the repair over a cup of coffee.
Advantages of laser welding:
Are you looking for a long-term partner in the field of laser welding and precision engineering? You have found it with Kockzius. In addition to pure contract work, we support you both in an advisory capacity and in the final implementation, from prototype development to serial production of the end product. We look forward to your project.
Laser welding is a common method for joining different components and applying material. The sides of the material to be joined are melted using a laser and then joined together. With the help of our CNC-controlled table and rotary axis, welding processes can be repeated with pinpoint accuracy. The precise adjustment of the laser beam parameters guarantees accurate results and high quality.

Do you have any questions as to whether laser welding is the right method for your project? We are at your disposal.
Titanium can be easily welded with a laser welding unit. Due to its low density and high stability, titanium is a popular material that is used in medical technology, among other things. As the laser works with pinpoint accuracy, the properties of the titanium (strength and hardness) are retained. An additional inert gas atmosphere prevents the weld seam from becoming brittle. If the part is also planned correctly large amounts of expensive Titanium material can be saved in comparison to other production methods.
As with all welding processes, in aluminum welding the joining zones of the two components to be joined are melted locally by a targeted application of heat, in this case by a Nd: YAG laser. The melt pools of the two components flow into each other, cool down and form a solid joint after cooling.
As the individual alloy components of the aluminum cool at different temperatures, there is a risk of hot cracks in the weld seam due to the shrinkage stresses that occur during cooling. To avoid hot cracks, a filler wire is added to optimize the weld seam. The weld seam produced in this way not only has excellent strength, but is also visually appealing and does not require any major post-processing.
Stainless steel is an impressive material due to its corrosion resistance as well as its resilience and is used particularly in jewelry and precision engineering.
With laser welding, you can not only join the workpieces, but also repair them. Fine weld seams ensure a visually appealing result. Deep penetration into the material ensures a very high load-bearing capacity. The precise laser welding process ensures that adjacent material is not heated or only heated to a small extent. This is the best possible way to prevent material distortion due to the thermal effect.
